The habit of the crystals is similar to that of rock crystals - most amethyst specimens originate from 'amethyst geodes'.

The deposit in Bolivia is one of the few worldwide that produces handsome, massive amethyst crystals and crystal specimens.

Due to the remoteness of the mine and the focus on facet-grade rough, only very few perfect specimens reach the trade for collectors.

The crystal terminations of this specimen are almost perfect; unfortunately, one or two have minor fractures!

The natural terminations are of top quality and feature a very fine, dark color!
