Ammonite Pairs
The ammonites were horizontally sawn and polished. Only through this process do the beautifully fossilized and crystallized
structures inside come into their own. The yellow mineral is calcite, which is partly crystallized.
Some of the ammonites also opalesce on the outside – opalescent ammonite is also called ammolite.
The pieces have a size of approx. 4 - 12 cm.
The number of pairs per kilo varies depending on the size of the individual pieces.
