Hogtuvaite - also Högtuvait / Hogtuvaite / Høgtuvaite

Hogtuvaite is a very rare beryllium mineral that has so far only been found on the Bordvedåga Plateau near Mo-I-Rana in Norway.

This locality is therefore also the type locality.

The black crystals are embedded in phenakite-rich gneiss.

Specimen size approx. 10 x 8.5 x 3 cm and weighs approx. 0.24 kg.
