Platonic solids set - large
These Platonic solids were hand-cut from pure rock crystal.
The set contains a tetrahedron, a hexahedron, an octahedron, an icosahedron, and a dodecahedron.
The name goes back to the Greek philosopher Plato, and the terms for the individual solids describe their shape -
a tetrahedron consists of equilateral triangles, a hexahedron is a cube, an octahedron again represents
equilateral triangles (this time with eight faces), a dodecahedron consists of regular pentagons, and an icosahedron
again represents equilateral triangles - with 20 faces.
The solids have a size of approx. 2.5 - 4.5 cm (+/-).
(As it is not otherwise possible due to cutting, every octahedron shows a small 'center line'! Visible in the enlarged reflection!)
They represent the four elements: fire, earth, air, and water, as well as the universe, and can have a supportive
effect when it comes to organizing your own thought patterns and bringing yourself and your body into harmony.
