Septarian Spheres
Gemstone spheres cut from natural septarian.
The color of these unique pieces ranges from gray to brown with white to yellow fillings.
Septarians are formed through local accumulations of calcium carbonate as a result of the decomposition of organic matter.
Cutting and polishing brings out the varied structure particularly well.
The individual septarian spheres are approx. 4 - 8 cm in size. There may be approx. 1 - 3 spheres per 1 kilo.
