This basically unremarkable rough stone develops a distinctive pattern with an intense luster after polishing.
Banded sphalerite is a mixture of sphalerite and galena, also called lead glance.
Due to its distinctive brown-yellow marbling / banding, banded sphalerite is also popularly used as a
gemstone.
Each of these polished rough stones is a one-of-a-kind piece!
The individual pieces are between 3 - 6 cm wide and about 0.5 - 2 cm thick.
Occasionally, somewhat larger and smaller pieces may be included!
