Sieber agate - Lealand Blue 8 mm spherical bead strand

Sieber agate - Lealand Blue (historical slag) 8 mm spherical bead strand

This slag was formed during the processing of copper approx. 150 years ago.

Most slags are black, but due to an unusual rock composition,

this beautiful and partially shimmering blue, dark red slag was formed.

Due to its structure and graining, it is also often referred to as agate - although it is not a true agate.
