Rock Crystals from Madagascar

 

The partly smaller and larger rock crystal specimens and clusters have a size of approx. 3 - 15 cm.

They have the typical slender, delicate crystal points known from Madagascar.

Crystals from Madagascar often have a rusty/reddish coloration originating from the soil in which they were found.

Due to the thin or barely present matrix, these crystal specimens are very delicate and

tend to slightly shed small crumbs along the edges. They are already in this condition in Madagascar after excavation,

so slight breakage of smaller pieces is to be expected with every further transport.
