black Jade from Australia - a tough mineral mixture of pigeonite pyroxene
Black Jade from Australia
This black jade is very tough and turns deep black when polished.
We sent these stones for analysis - it is pyroxene pigeonite, mixed with anorthite.
Minerals of the pyroxene group are commercially sold as jade - so this black jade from Australia rightly bears its name.
The very compact and tough material is ideal for further processing.
The pieces have a size of approx. 5 - 50 cm (+/-).
Origin of the rough stone is Australia.
Occasionally, slightly larger or smaller pieces may be included!
Price per 1 kg!
