Mookait is a variety of jasper and occurs in its typical colors only in Western Australia.

Mookait is known and very popular for its warm earth tones such as yellow, brown, ocher, red, and violet.

Mookait is a silicified, fine sedimentary rock.

Mookait receives its colors from these various sediments that were originally deposited by water.

These mookaites originate from the area around Gascoyne Junction (near Carnarvon) in Western Australia.

Occasionally, slightly larger and smaller pieces may be included!
