Obsidian Tri-Color Rough Stones
These are rough stones made of tri-color obsidian with a very interesting structure.
The different colors can be recognized very well in backlit conditions.
Obsidian forms when lava rock solidifies under very special conditions.
The obsidian also exhibits typical conchoidal fractures.
Because of this fracture, obsidian was used in the Stone Age to make tools.
Even today, it remains quite popular with flintknappers.
Size of the pieces between approx. 10 - 18 cm (+/-).
Depending on the size and availability of the individual rough stones, the delivered quantity may vary.
