Very beautiful, undyed and unstabilized turquoise rough stones from South Africa.
Turquoise Rough Stones - South Africa
These natural rough stones have a very beautiful turquoise-green speckled color.
Therefore, the name 'African Turquoise' has become established as a common trade name.
However, recent testing by the EPI - Institute for Gemstone Testing confirms that it is actually chrysocolla.
Nevertheless, it remains a very interesting material with a beautiful color and a good price-performance ratio.
These 'turquoise' rough stones have not been dyed and not stabilized.
The pieces have a size of approx. 3 - 7 cm (+/-).
Occasionally, slightly larger or smaller pieces may be included!
Origin: South Africa - the photos show the 'blue Mine' - formerly a copper mine - where the stones were found.
